CMY Position Statement on Anti-Racism
Racism is a significant and entrenched social issue in Australia, affecting the lives of multicultural young people daily. Racism is insidious and harmful – the damaging effects can be felt at an individual, community and societal level. Young people are particularly vulnerable to the negative and harmful impacts of racism. Once racism has occurred, it is difficult to mitigate the harm it causes – it is paramount that we take a preventative approach to racism.
