The following tip sheets were developed from the findings of the 3-year Australian Research Council project ‘Managing Diversity in Junior Sport: Participation versus Performance’ led by Victoria University in partnership with VicHealth, the Australian Football League and CMY.
Game Plan resource
Game Plan is a resource kit developed to support sports clubs to increase their cultural diversity and to attract and retain young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds in sport and sports clubs – as members, players, coaches, trainers and leaders.
Get started with Your Game Plan tool, designed to help you develop an action plan to work towards becoming a more culturally inclusive sports club. The sections in the tool are based around the information and strategies contained in the Game Plan Resource Kit. Some clubs will already have many strategies in place, while others may only have a few. The Your Game Plan tool will help you decide what will work best for your club and where to start.
The Game Plan resources were developed with funding from Sport and Recreation Victoria.
