This information session will introduce you to the Schools Standing up to Racism online resources and provide information about how your school can further explore this issue. CMY also offers a series of detailed fee-for-service workshops on this topic for school staff and students.
Schools Standing Up to Racism is a resource designed to support schools in addressing racism and discrimination in their school environment. In this 90 minute online session, we will guide you through key features of the Schools Standing up to Racism resource and provide ideas for implementation in your school community.
Topics include:
- Understanding of prevalence of racism in schools and impacts on young people
- Knowledge of proactive approaches to addressing racism in a school setting
- Awareness of different forms of racism and how they can impact young people
- Understanding of how to implement Schools Standing up to Racism tools
