The MY Education awards recognise excellence and showcase the outstanding contributions made by students, schools and Out-of-School-Hours Learning Support Programs to the success of the learning of primary and secondary students from migrant and refugee backgrounds in Victoria. This year, the awards will be held on 17 September 2019.

Nominations are now open for the 2019 Awards and nominations are invited from across Victoria in the following categories:

*Applicants from previous years are encouraged to nominate again in 2019- in all categories.

1. Student Awards

Primary School: Awarded to an individual primary school-age child who has achieved significant improvements in his or her own learning outcomes and has made a positive contribution to others through participation and leadership at an OSHLSP.

Secondary School: Awarded to an individual secondary school age child or young person who has achieved significant improvements in his or her own learning outcomes and has made a positive contribution to others through participation and leadership at an OSHLSP.

2. Volunteer tutor

Outstanding Volunteer: Awarded to an individual recognised by an OSHLSP or their community to have provided volunteer commitment beyond expectations in out-of-school-hours learning support for refugee and migrant students and their families.

Outstanding Young Volunteer: Awarded to an individual who is under 25 years of age, recognised by an OSHLSP or their community to have provided volunteer commitment beyond expectations in out-of-school-hours learning support for refugee and migrant students and their families.

3. School and Community-based OSHLSP

School-run OSHLSP*: Awarded to the school that has demonstrated best practice or innovative methods in providing out-of-school-hours learning support for refugee and migrant students and their families.
*Your club fits in this category if it is primarily run by the school

Community-run OSHLSP*: Awarded to the OSHLSP that has demonstrated best practice or innovative methods in providing learning support to refugee and migrant students and their families.
*Your club fits this category if it is primarily run by a community organisation, even if it is hosted by a school.
