Culturally responsive mental health and wellbeing support for multicultural young people.

Delivery in Schools

We know that students have access to lots of mental health programs and supports through schools and community. However, we also know that multicultural young people are underrepresented in the population of young people accessing mental health services and supports.

Why is this program unique?

The Reverb 2.0 program has been co-designed and is co-delivered by multicultural young people (Reverb Youth Advocates). The Youth Advocates delivering the program have lived experience of accessing mental health supports and share their lived experiences with the students. Why? Because stories are more powerful than facts. Stories connect. Stories empower.

Here is what one of our Youth Advocates has to say:

“I graduated in an under-resourced school: as I grew up feeling like an invisible phantom, with people who could not afford to care for me and my struggles and who didn’t know how to, I felt often angry and resentful to people around me, and people who refused to divest privilege to places which needed it. This program is sort of like a letter of forgiveness, and my own way to tell young people who fell through the cracks like me that I care, I see you. And that we’re deeply sorry for failing you. We are going to try to make a better world for you, give you a future to inherit. And that you’re not alone.”

This is also a unique partnership between CMY, multicultural young people and headspace National

Cost

The Reverb 2.0 program is fully subsidised, with no cost to the school or to students. How? We have been fortunate to receive funding to deliver these impactful workshops in 2025 and 2026.
