Youth Arrivals to Victoria: 2022-2023
In the 2022/23 financial year, 4,984 young people aged 12 to 24 years were granted a permanent or provisional visa to settle in Victoria under Australia’s Migration Programme across the family, skilled and humanitarian streams. This is an increase of more than 2,000 young people from the previous financial year. Almost one third (32%) of all young people settling in Australia during this period arrived to Victoria. One in six (16%) of all youth arrivals to Victoria were aged 12-24 years.
