Young People and Settlement Training

Explore the essential skills and knowledge required for effective work with young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds.

This interactive training explores the pre-migration experience of young people, in addition to building awareness of the factors that impact good settlement, with a focus on the tools and strategies presented in the National Youth Settlement Framework.

Expected Learning Outcomes:

• Explore pre-migration and migration experiences of young people

• Build awareness of settlement experiences faced by newly arrived young migrants and refugees

• Identify factors which impact good settlement for young people

• Introduce the National Youth Settlement Framework

• Apply Good Practice Capabilities for effective work with young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds.
