We’re investing in multicultural young people to lead, create and deliver projects to drive social change.
Adopting a co-design process, and over a 6-month period, CMY is supporting a team of young people to conceptualise and design a youth-led unit that is integrated within CMY.
The purpose of the proposed unit will be to facilitate the voices and actions of multicultural young people in Victoria. While being part of CMY, the unit will have its own distinct brand and accountability mechanism that go directly to the CEO and CMY Board.
CMY will bring to this process a range of resources, operational supports and access to key stakeholders in government, philanthropy and research. The team of young people will bring their expertise, lived experience and passion for change-making.
Youth Panel Members are multicultural young people who are 30 years and under, who will work closely with the Project Lead within a co-design process to identify, concept-test and propose a model for a youth-led unit, that is integrated within existing CMY organisational structure. The process will culminate in a business case proposal to be put before the CMY Board.
CMY would like to invite you, your organisation and young people you support to our regional roadshow consultation sessions.
We are currently gathering the voices and ideas of young people in Ballarat, Bendigo, Shepparton and Gippsland. Our panel members will be travelling to these regions between Wednesday 28th April 2021 and Wednesday 5th May 2021.
These consultations will be split into two sessions:
1. Youth organisations and stakeholders (day)
2. Young people (evening)
