Nominations are now open for the 2020 MY Education Awards.
The MY Education Awards recognise excellence and showcase the outstanding contributions made by Out-of-School-Hours Learning Support Programs to the success of the learning of primary and secondary students from migrant and refugee backgrounds in Victoria.
In what has been a challenging time for us all, the 2020 awards will feature reduced categories to allow us to come together to recognise the resilience of the sector as a whole, and celebrate our achievements during a period of uncertainty.
Awards nominations are invited from across Victoria in the following categories:
- Out-of-School-Hours Learning Support Program of the Year – Metropolitan
- Out-of-School-Hours Learning Support Program of the Year – Regional/Rural
Awarded to the OSHLSP/School that has demonstrated best practice or innovative methods in providing out-of-school-hours learning support for refugee and migrant students and their families (in either metropolitan or regional/rural setting).
We recognise that not all programs were able to continue in the same way during the COVID-19 lockdown. All OSHLSPs are welcome to apply and describe the range of support that was provided during this challenging time.
It is highly encouraged to include quotes and anecdotes from students, staff, tutors or coordinators.
NOMINATIONS CLOSE 5PM, MONDAY 24 AUGUST 2020
The MY Education Awards will be held in mid-September 2020 (more details to follow).
This year, we are inviting you and your students to get creative for the MY Education Awards. We will be displaying and celebrating works from young people across Victoria during our annual awards ceremony, and we want you to get involved.
We have suggested a range of activities that you could use within your homework club, but feel free to get creative and come up with your own ideas.
