Anatovina: Le Mana YAG to Staff Member

Talofa lava,

My name is Anatovina Vitale.

I am a proud Samoan woman, born and raised in the Western suburbs of Melbourne.

I hail from the villages of Faleula, Leauva’a, Salelologa, and Luatuanu’u.

I began volunteering with CMY from January 2024 to June 2025, as part of the Le Mana North-West Youth Ambassadors (the precursor to the Youth Advisory Group) and the Le Mana YAG.

I joined Le Mana in a voluntary capacity in hopes of gaining experience within the youth sector. As a 17-year-old fresh out of high school, Le Mana helped me find my purpose and became an outlet for me to express my passion for community work. I fell in love with serving our community and empowering Māori and Pasifika young people. Being apart of the YAG gave me the opportunity to make change– to network, raise awareness to relevant social issues, volunteer for community events and become the voice for Māori and Pasifika youth in Naarm.

In July 2025, I was given to opportunity to join the team as a Casual Youth Support Worker.

Transitioning from YAG to Casual has been a very exciting learning experience for me. I am very blessed to be given this opportunity to continue doing what I love at a higher level and in professional settings.

I now get to play a bigger role in advocating for our young people, shaping young minds through school programs, collaborating with the team on behind-the-scenes processes, engaging with local communities and so on.

I am honoured to be part of the CMY Le Mana Pasifika team, a program that is truly one of its kind.

Fa’afetai tele lava.
