We’re investing in youth-led change

CMY is investing in a new Youth-Led Unit for multicultural young people to lead, create and deliver projects to drive social change.

Adopting a co-design process, and over a 6-month period, CMY will support a team of young people to conceptualise and design a youth-led unit that is integrated within CMY.

The purpose of the proposed unit will be to facilitate the voices and actions of multicultural young people in Victoria. While being part of CMY, the unit will have its own distinct brand and accountability mechanism that go directly to the CEO and CMY Board.

CMY will bring to this process a range of resources, operational supports and access to key stakeholders in government, philanthropy and research. The team of young people will bring their expertise, lived experience and passion for change-making.

Be part of change

We’re looking for Expressions of Interest from multicultural young people (30 years and under) with a passion for change-making, to join our voluntary Youth Panel.

Youth Panel Members will work closely with the Project Lead within a co-design process to identify, concept-test and propose a model for a youth-led unit that is integrated within existing CMY organisational structure. The process will culminate in a business case proposal to be put before the CMY Board. Youth Panel Members will receive honorary payments for their contribution.

We welcome Expressions of Interest from innovative, entrepreneurial and bold thinkers who are keen to join us in this exciting journey. More information about the opportunity, including a Position Description and how to apply can be found at: https://www.cmy.net.au/youth-led-unit

Expressions of Interest close midnight on Sunday 15 November.
