Dual award nominations for CMY Gippsland 

CMY Gippsland has been nominated in the 2026 Latrobe Valley People’s Choice Awards, as well as the 2026 MY Education Awards.

CMY Gippsland has been nominated in the category of ‘Most Popular – Professional Services’ in the 2026 Latrobe Valley People’s Choice Awards

This nomination recognises and celebrates the work the Gippsland team do alongside young people, schools, community organisations and local services to strengthen connections and create opportunities for young people across the Latrobe Valley and wider Gippsland region.

The nominations relate to key initiatives delivered by CMY Gippsland, including: 

  • Youth Advisory Group (YAG), supporting young people to have a voice in decisions that affect them. 
  • Culture Club, working with local secondary schools to promote cultural understanding, inclusion and respect. 
  • Youth programs and community activities that connect young people with opportunities, services and local organisations. 
  • Partnerships with schools, community organisations and local services to support young people across the Latrobe Valley and wider Gippsland region.

Culture Club Gippsland shortlisted for MY Education Awards

We are also excited to share that CMY Gippsland and Gippsland Secondary School’s Culture Club has been shortlisted as a finalist in the ‘Strength Beyond the City’ category of the 2026 MY Education Awards

Culture Club Gippsland is made possible through strong partnerships with secondary schools across the region, creating opportunities for young people to share their experiences, build understanding across cultures and contribute to more inclusive school communities. 

Organised by CMY’s MY Education Team, the finalists will be celebrated at the 2026 MY Education Awards ceremony at Kensington Town Hall.
