CEO Message: Thank you for all of your support this year
As 2021 draws to a close, we thank you for all of your support this year. What a year 2021 was! It has been an emotional roller coaster as we’ve moved in and out of lockdowns. We have worked tirelessly with many of you to ensure young people of multicultural backgrounds were seen and heard.
As a result of another year of COVID-19 lockdowns and restrictions, CMY pivoted to deliver many of our programs and events in a virtual model. The social and economic repercussions of COVID-19 locally and globally will be felt for years, and our migrant and refugee communities have shown incredible strength and resilience in the face of multiple hardships. As we head into the holiday period, take a moment to reflect on that we have all achieved.
Thank you to our State and Federal government funding bodies, and philanthropic and corporate sponsors. Our wonderful partners were there with us in these challenging times.
To give our staff a well-deserved break, CMY will close for an extended period this year – from 24 December to 10 January. 2022 will be a busy year as we enter a State and Federal election. We look forward to continuing our partnerships with you, and to working with Victoria’s multicultural communities.
