Bringing a joyful close to the term’s activities, our school programs have officially wrapped up with lively performances and food for our young community. These programs exist to empower young people through the celebration of culture and heritage, in a truly engaging way.
The Le Mana West Team had a wonderful term. Delving into traditional songs and dances, we were honoured to collaborate with the local Māori performing arts group ‘Nga Matai Porua’ (NMP). Guided by them, students learned Haka and Poi, enriching their understanding of Māori traditions and deepening their connection to culture.
At Doherty’s Creek, the youth had a fantastic opportunity to cook during their final session. They put their skills to the test, sharing a meal they had prepared themselves to be enjoyed by everyone.
Coburns Primary School, located in Melton, hosted their own cultural showcase— Fiafia Day. Parents of the participants were invited to witness firsthand the amazing work their children had done throughout the term. The students proudly presented what they had learned, showcasing their newfound knowledge and talents.
Hoppers Crossing Secondary College will also be holding a fiafia night and cultural showcase, now scheduled for Term 4. We are working closely with the school to ensure that students can deliver their best work, celebrating something that they can be truly proud of.
We are excited to announce that spots for Term 4 are still available. If you’re interested in joining, please get in touch and secure your place through our Referral Form! Alternatively, engage with us through any of our platforms below.
