The 4Cs Program continues to be a beacon of cultural celebration, empowering students from diverse cultures to take the lead, showcasing and honouring their heritage through projects. It represents ‘Cultivating Creative Cultures with Communities’.
Over 18 years, the program has seen great success and engagement, since its inception by Founder and Director Laitini Matautia-Ulugia. Through it, students work to develop costumes, dances and undertake planning and community engagement, culminating in an annual performance.
This year’s events took place from 26 August, over three consecutive Monday nights at Bunjil Place Theatre. It was organised in partnership with the 4Cs Student Leadership Group, Bunjil Place, CMY’s Le Mana Pasifika Project and several community leaders and cultural mentors.
The performances were nothing short of extraordinary. Each evening brought together vibrant displays of culture and diversity, with students from both the North and West of Melbourne stepping up to share their talents.
A standout moment was the participation of St Francis College, joining 4Cs for the first time and representing the Melton Local Government Area (LGA). Their involvement added another layer of cultural richness to the event, making it a truly inclusive and memorable celebration.
