The Melbourne experience

July 8, 2016

During July, CMY ran a school holiday program called the ‘Melbourne Experience’ - a full day adventure that gave young people from regional areas of Victoria a chance to explore and familiarise themselves with the City of Melbourne.

The group of young people from Ballarat, Horsham and Gippsland visited the Immigration Museum, China Town, the Queen Victoria Market and the street art in lane ways of the CBD.

The program introduced over 40 young people from diverse cultural backgrounds and ages to each other and provided them the perfect space to engage and get to know each other.

The Melbourne Experience gave young people the chance to familiarise themselves with their city and to explore both its hidden and well-known treasures.
