“Diversity is being invited to the party; inclusion is being asked to dance.”

Young people from migrant and refugee background face extra barriers when entering the job market as they navigate their multicultural identity.

‘Youth Employment: Prepared for work?’ is a must-attend event for youth workers assisting young people in gaining entry into the job market.

Join the Centre for Multicultural Youth for a day that will be focused on employment.

‘Youth Employment: Prepared for work?’ will provide a space for you to ask the hard questions around how to shape the expectations of employers around employing young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds.

Come along to hear best practice examples from employers who are reaping the benefits of a diverse workforce; to listen to hurdles experiences of young people on entering the job market; and, to discuss strategies to assist both young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds in the job market and organisations looking to diversify their workforce.
