Get Involved! 2017 MYAN National Conference – call for volunteers
MYAN Australia in partnership with the University of Melbourne will be hosting its national conference - Young people in a multicultural world: rethinking a new policy and practice agenda - on 23rd and 24th November at the University of Melbourne.
The conference is the first of its kind to be held in Australia. It will consider the experiences of young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds in the context of current global challenges and explore how research, policy and practice can address these challenges into the future. Across the 2 days we will be exploring the themes 'Global Citizenship', 'Education to Work' and 'Social Cohesion'.
This future-focussed conference will explore what is needed to ensure that young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds thrive in Australia in the coming decades.

As usual, we are looking for the support of young people for the conference to be a success!
We are looking for the valuable support and contributions from volunteers, especially young people who can help direct the conversation in the right direction.
We seek volunteers who can help us with a range of tasks including welcoming the conference participants and directional support, registration, mic handling during panel sessions and set up and monitoring conference sessions.
You will be working with a dynamic group of volunteers and MYAN staff and will have the opportunity to meet conference delegates from across Australia.
Plus, you will have the chance to participate in conference sessions and hear from leading policy, research and practice experts!
Sign up for the chance to meet people from across Australia and support MYAN’s vision that all young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds can access the opportunities they need to be active citizens in Australian society.
To get involved with the two-day MYAN National Conference as a volunteer, send an expression of interest to the Conference organizers on email@example.com.
You will be contacted with more information on volunteer roles and conference details.
