Rock the Block is a youth-led cultural festival that aims to celebrate Ballarat’s rich cultural diversity during Harmony Week 2018.

Event partners the City of Ballarat Youth Services, Federation University and CMY have been working together with a dynamic group of young people to curate the inaugural festival since 2017.

This party will feature four hours of continuous stage performances from headline acts Indigenous Hip Hop Projects, Bortier Okoe plus local talent Rhiannon Simpson, EMBE and Butterfunked.

The event will also include a range of activities, creative workshops, delicious food offerings and a chill-out space showcasing Ballarat’s rich youth culture and diversity.

Barry Petrovski, Team Leader at CMY, says this event, “aims to bring the best of Ballarat’s youth culture to celebrate our city’s rich cultural diversity.”

“In keeping, with the 2018 Harmony Fest theme (All Of Us), we are seeking to celebrate what’s unique and makes our city stronger, and a more dynamic and a vibrant place to live”.
