I also really enjoy the time at the end of the interview where I can ask how things are at home, school and perhaps recommend them to have a chat to someone, the young people are always thankful. The police that I have also met during my time at the station have also been fantastic, they are always thankful that I am there and genuinely care for the young person. Their positive feedback has been amazing. It is also interesting to listen to them about different programs they run as well, (i.e. the Ropes program). I am so glad I have done this, I am loving it." |

Every interview is as unique as the young people involved in them and I have been grateful for the opportunity to assist them in understanding their rights and feeling supported. I found the interviews also provided a window of opportunity to offer young people who may be experiencing difficulties in their lives the prospect of referral to specialist services that could help them achieve their goals." |
