What is Stand up 4 Rights?
|
Stand Up 4 Rights is a comedy project that engages young people from a cross range of cultural backgrounds who live in the cities of Melton, Wyndham and Casey. With support from professional comedians and advocates from Youth Law, young people form a production team of 8-12 young people do script writing, directing, performing, promotion and event management. Once the participants have received their training during comedy and performance delivery through weekly workshops, the group have the opportunity to present their performances to local secondary collages and community events.

From 5 October until 17 December, Stand Up 4 Rights will be running on a weekly bases from the Wyndham Council’s Youth Resource Centre.
