What is Next Generation Media?
| Next Generation Media offered young people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds the opportunity to learn media, broadcasting and leadership skills. We aim to ensure that Australian media represents the true diversity of the Australian community. After the 'Summer School' training, the young participants broadcast a weekly live show on SYN radio and were mentored by Multicultural Media Exchange.

| | Program Details
| A group of motivated young people learned leadership, media and radio broadcasting skills to have their voices heard in the media. The training was open to any young person aged 16-25 from a migrant, refugee or asylum seeker background. With the support of professional journalists the Next Generation Media training included a Summer School (16 -30 January 2012) and the chance to broadcast on SYN Media (February – mid April 2012).
