What is Cultural Competency Training?
|
This training targets practitioners working with newly arrived and refugee young people, and managers undertaking service planning and delivery toward culturally-competent youth services.

The main training themes include:

- Working with newly arrived and refugee young people in resettlement;
|
- Understanding culture and how it impacts on practice;
|
- Valuing cultural diversity and understanding cross-cultural communication within the workplace;
|
- Family-focussed practice with newly arrived and refugee young people;
|
- Culturally inclusive practice and cultural competency within services.
